Channing Tatum is planning to take a break from acting.

Channing Tatum is planning to take a much-deserved break in 2013. The 32-year-old actor, who starred in a whopping five films in 2012, wants to ease up his schedule so that he can write and direct a project with producing partner Reid Carolin. "By the end of next year, we're going to shut things down and write the first thing that we're going to direct," said the star. "We're going to be like, alright, no more acting parts for a minute, let's take a few and really get caring about that section of our career." With a full slate of films scheduled for 2013, the actor will have to wait a little while before he can take a hiatus. Still, no one can argue that Channing deserves a little timeout. Here are a few other incredibly busy actors that might want to follow in his footsteps.

Robert Pattinson

Now that the "Twilight" franchise is over, you might think Robert would want to take a breather before he moves on to the next phase of his career. Instead, he's hitting the ground running. The actor has several movies coming out in 2013, including the highly anticipated "Queen of the Desert." With a schedule like that, free time won't be easy for Robert to find. At just 26, he's probably up to the task, but a break in the not-too-distant future is probably a good idea.

Chris Hemsworth

Chris co-starred in "Marvel's The Avengers," easily the year's biggest movie. With starring roles this year in "Snow White & The Huntsman" and "Red Dawn," the actor clearly hasn't slowed down. 2013 will be another big year for Chris. In addition to reprising his title role in the "Thor" sequel, he's due to appear in "Rush" and "In the Heart of the Sea." But with a 6-month-old baby at home, don't be surprised if the actor slows down eventually.

Matthew McConaughey

Few stars have been as busy as Matthew has been in 2012. Not only did the actor tie the knot and announce that he and wife Camila Alves are expecting their third child, but he also appeared in four movies this year. If that's not enough, he recently dropped nearly 40 pounds for his role in 2013's "Dallas Buyers Club." Matthew, who will also appear with Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street" next year, has certainly earned the right to take an extended vacation if he so desires.
