Chad Johnson - better known as Ochocinco - is unemployed again, thanks to his weekend domestic violence arrest. The newlywed Johnson allegedly head-butted his wife of five weeks, "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada, after she found a receipt for a box of condoms in their shared Florida home. He said they accidentally hit heads while arguing, but she went to the hospital for her injuries.
Now, Johnson's out of a job because of the violence. The Miami Dolphins tweeted that they released the wide receiver as a result of his arrest.
"The Miami Dolphins have terminated the contract of WR Chad Johnson," a tweet from the Dolphins' account read. The team's coach added that the choice wasn't "an easy one" and the fight wasn't the only deciding factor. VH1 has also opted to cancel his reality show with Lozada, "Ev and Ocho" due to the "seriousness of the allegations.
Johnson's violent turn is surprising, given that he's more known for his outlandish personality than aggression. We've decided to take a look back at some of Ochocinco's most memorable moments from the past few years.
Children's Cereal Porn Mishap
Johnson was trying to do something good in 2010 when he put the phone number of the Feed the Children fund on the boxes of Ochocinco's cereal sold at Kroger's stores in Cincinnati. Unfortunately, the phone number pointed to a phone sex line rather than the charity.
"Awe man, I'm bummed about the cereal number mixup," he tweeted of the mixup. "Trying to do good and got messed up, of all numbers why that one!!! Sorry."
"Dancing With the Stars"
Ochocinco might be talented on the football field, but that talent didn't transfer to the dance floor when he competed on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2010. He was heartbroken by the elimination and tweeted all about it.
"Damn now what do I do? I feel empty as f$%# damit!! Breathe Ocho, *tears* from Liberty City to DWTS, what a journey," he wrote. "Due to the emotional state that I'm in, I now declare this a state of the emergency situation, reality is kickin in."
He got over it quickly, though.
The Wallet Debacle
Johnson's SUV was robbed earlier this summer and his wallet was stolen. The former wide receiver didn't care about the wallet - he was more concerned about his stolen Starbucks card.
"I earned the gold card," Ochocinco lamented in a video he posted to Twitter. "You know how many coffees I've had to drink and lemon loafs I've had to purchase to get to that gold card? Like, I had $220 left on my Starbucks card. Not just any Starbucks card, but a gold Starbucks card."
Miraculously, a follower's mom found the wallet in a dumpster a few hours later, sans the Stabucks card. Starbucks was more than willing to send him a new card, though.
"I wish Tyrannosaurus Rex diarrhea on whoever broke my window and stole my #gold starbucks cards..." he tweeted afterward.
Life is hard.
