The average American probably didn't pay attention (mostly because David Beckham wasn't in the game), but there were millions of people around the world - including celebrities - watching the final match of the 2012 Euro Cup between Spain and Italy. Spain ended up winning the game 4-0, clinching the title.

Enrique Iglesias

Spanish born singer Enrique Iglesias took some time out of his summer tour with Jennifer Lopez to watch the Euro Cup finals. He also had to dress up his dog, too.

"ESPANA!!!!" the singer posted on Facebook, along with a photo of his pooch in a Spain jacket. "SPAIN EURO CHAMPIONS!"

Colombian singer Shakira takes special interest in the Spain team - her boyfriend, Gerard Pique, plays for the team.

"Today's game takes place at the stadium in Kiev that I helped inaugurate last December! So excited and nervous all at once! Shak," she wrote before the game, adding another tweet in Spanish after they won."Felicidades España! Hoy han hecho historia!! Y a mi 3...18 títulos, 8 a tu lado. Qué orgullosa estoy de tí! Shak."

Gerard Pique

Gerard Pique had to reply to his gal pal with a tweet of his own. He couldn't just say it to her in person?

"Gracias mi vida! @shakira," he tweeted.

Nina Garcia

"Project Runway" judge Nina Garcia congratulated the team after their win. "Congratulations Spain !!! What a great game! Qué viva España!!!!" Garcia tweeted.

Piers Morgan

CNN host and noted soccer fan Piers Morgan live tweeted through the whole game.

"Only 'boring' thing about this #Spain side is how relentlessly, ruthlessly brilliant they are. Unbelievable," he tweeted.

Rio Ferdinand

English football star Rio Ferdinand also had to comment on the win.

"Spain!!!!!! Wow!" the Brit tweeted. "I said Spain would win it....talk to me!! What??!"

Seth Myers

"Saturday Night Live" writer and cast member Seth Myers had to comment on the cup, too.

"My favorite thing about the Euro Cup is watching world leaders react to near misses," he tweeted.

Stacy Keibler and Jessica Szohr

George Clooney' gal pal had to tweet about the cup, though her team didn't win.

"Nothing better then being in Italy cheering them on in the #eurocup !!! Go ITALY!!!!" she wrote.

Former "Gossip Girl" actress really wanted to be there, too. "I am with you in spirit," she wrote.

Serena Williams

Tennis champ Serena Williams follows soccer too.

"What a sport! Wow! Eurocup!!!!!" she wrote.
