Celebrities Lend Their Star Power to Sandy Victims

Jon Stewart, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Bon Jovi, and Steven Tyler were just a few of the many native celebrity east coasters who lent their star power Friday night to NBC's telethon to raise much-needed funds for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Hosted by Today show anchor Matt Lauer, the 60-minute event was broadcast from 30 Rock in New York City and featured uplifting musical performances by Christina Aguilera, Aerosmith, Sting, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band and Billy Joel.

Late Night host Jimmy Fallon lent some comic relief to the somber occasion when he assumed the lead singer role to The Drifters' classic Under the Boardwalk with Billy Joel, Steven Tyler and Bruce Springsteen playing back-up.
