CBS has ordered three more episodes of A Gifted Man, Deadline reports.

10 bubble shows — Which will survive?

Monday's order brings the medical drama's freshman season to 16 episodes, lower than the normal 22-episode order that CBS has already given to the network's other first-year series 2 Broke Girls, Person of Interest and Unforgettable. (The network's fifth new series, How to Be a Gentleman, was canceled after just two episodes).

Starring Patrick Wilson as a doctor who begins to see the spirit of his dead ex-wife, A Gifted Man has been averaging 8.33 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demo on FridayS at 8/7c. It is unclear what show CBS will air in that timeslot once A Gifted Man wraps Season 1, but it has yet to schedule the midseason crime drama The 2-2.

Are you glad A Gifted Man has been extended?
