CBS Orders More Vegas and Elementary

CBS has ordered full seasons of Vegas and Elementary, TVGuide.com has learned.

"Vegas and Elementary have opened strong, delivering big audiences and winning performances in important time periods," Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. "Each of the shows has rich characters, big stars and a unique visual style that have stood out in the crowd, helping make two of our strongest nights even stronger."

Vegas
stars Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis in a cop and mobster drama set in Sin City's sordid past. The star-studded series has quickly become the top new series of the season, averaging 14.94 million viewers. Elementary is CBS' modern take on Sherlock Holmes, featuring Jonny Lee Miller as the famous detective and Lucy Liu as his sidekick Watson.
