Casey Anthony Breaks Her Silence: ‘I’m Ashamed Of The Person That I Was’

In a phone interview with Piers Morgan, Casey Anthony breaks her silence for the first time since her acquittal, tonight. Read on to see what she had to say!

Piers Morgan was granted access to interview Casey Anthony over the phone today. The newsman teased on his Twitter account, “BREAKING: Casey Anthony tells me: ‘I didn’t kill my daughter…but I’m ashamed of the person that I was,’” earlier this afternoon.

Casey didn’t appear on the show, although Piers read quotes from their conversation as he interviewed her attorney, J. Chaney Mason. In tweet teases of what he planned to read on air, Piers quotes Casey as saying, “I was a stupid kid…but I’ve never been a ‘party girl’…and I’ve gone through hell. The public perception of me is bad, absolutely horrible.”

The last teased quote Piers offered was perhaps the saddest: “There’s no one I love more than my daughter…she’s my greatest accomplishment.” The interview aired at 9PM EST on CNN.
