Showtime is working on a possible spin-off of Californication for a character to be introduced next season, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Tom Kapinos, writer and executive producer on the David Duchovny-starring series, has created a new professional groupie character named Faith who will be featured in nine episodes in Season 6.

She is described as a mid-to-late 20s formerly innocent young Catholic school girl who went over to the dark side the minute she learned to love the evils of rock and roll, and the men who make it. Faith has been on the road for years with various bands and is considered a muse by some famous artists. She loves her sex, drugs and rock and roll, but — surprisingly — Faith is still quite religious.

The role of Faith has yet to be cast — a large factor in whether the role could spin off into its own series.

Season 6 of Californication, which just aired its season finale earlier this month, will premiere in 2013.

What do you think of this new Faith character? Would you watch a show about her?
