Britney Spears "Femm Fatale" coming this March!

Oops, she did it again!

Britney Spears has called off her one year engagement to Jason Trawick. The news of their breakup comes just over a year after he popped the question to the pop star in Las Vegas.

The singer released a statement about the breakup stating, "Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."

In addition to ending their engagement, Trawick also gave up his duties as one of her co-conservators. As her fiance and former manager, he had been granted the authority to make decisions about her general well-being for such things as food, clothing, medical care and travel. He had been added as a co-conservator in April 2012 following their engagement. Don't worry, Britney still won't be making her own decisions for her care as her dad, Jamie Spears, was reinstated as the sole conservator of the star.

For her part, the singer has already moved on to greener pastures by announcing her exit from "The X Factor" and revealing plans to get back in the studio to create new music. No word on what Trawick plans to do now that he was been removed from camp Spears.

With the news of her broken engagement, the singer joins an ever expanding group of stars who have gotten cold feet before they could walk down the aisle. Here are few of the celebrities who stopped feeling the love before the wedding bells could ring:

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez: Who could forget the hottest couple of the early 2000s? For a while it seemed that you couldn't look at a magazine without seeing their smiling faces on the cover. The couple seemed destined for a happy tabloid ending right up until the bride called off their engagement just three days before the planned wedding in 2003. The two tried to make it work even after the missed nuptials, but ultimately called it quits for good in January 2004.

Simon Cowell and Mezhgan Hussainy: She almost tamed the eternal bad boy until he put an end to their two year engagement in early 2012. "The X Factor" judge said of the breakup, "It's quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close. I'm vulnerable. It's not on, it's not off, it's somewhere in the middle. I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland: They were flying high as two of the hottest stars of the 1990s when they met and fell in love on the set of "Flatliners." Just days before their planned wedding on a Hollywood sound set in 1991, the bride took off for greener pastures flying away with his pal Jason Patric for a trip to Ireland. For his part Sutherland was able to finally forgive his runaway bride saying, "I commend Julia for seeing how young and silly we were, even as painful and difficult as it was."

Sienna Miller and Jude Law: It was a breakup destined for the weekly magazines! Seven months after a romantic Christmas proposal in 2004, the bride was shocked to find out that her fiance had cheated on her with the nanny. These two kids tried to make it work, but decided to call it quits in November 2006. They would give love a second chance in late 2009 only to split again in early 2011.
