Brian Austin Green claims he owes Reese Witherspoon some flowers.

Apparently, Reese Witherspoon helped give Brian Austin Green some privacy. The actor, who recently welcomed a son with actress Megan Fox, credits Reese with taking the attention away from them while Megan was pregnant. "We got really lucky, and I've been wanting to send Reese Witherspoon flowers for, like, a month and a half," said the actor. "Because she actually gave birth, I think the day before us." Since Reese's baby news dominated headlines, Brian and Megan were able to go a couple of weeks before sharing their news with the rest of the world. Obviously, becoming a dad again was the biggest news of the year for the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star. Here is a look at some of his other big moments so far in 2012.

He has a new show

Since his days as David Silver on "90210," Brian has appeared in a number of TV programs. His most notable stint might have come on the short-lived sitcom "Freddie," where he co-starred with Freddie Prinze, Jr. Now Brian has another chance at TV success. His new comedy, titled "The Wedding Band," will debut on November 10 on TBS. Brian will headline the show, which has received an initial order of 10 episodes. Assuming things go well, there is good reason to believe that the show will have a bright future on cable.

He tried to sue his former girlfriend

Brian was recently involved in a legal dispute with actress Vanessa Marcil, his ex-girlfriend and former co-star on "90210." According to the suit, the actor claimed that he lent Vanessa $200,000 more than 10 years ago. Unfortunately for him, the judge dismissed the lawsuit, claiming that it was frivolous in nature. On top of that, the statute of limitations had expired, meaning that the actor had no legal right to the money after all. As it turns out, Vanessa is now suing Brian, and the two will attend a hearing in January.

He was involved in a paparazzi lawsuit

Earlier this year, Brian and Megan were involved in a legal dispute with a member of the paparazzi. In March, a photographer claimed that Brian severely beat him during a 2010 altercation, while Megan encouraged him to do so. Brian and Megan refuted the claims in June, and Brian later said that he was simply defending himself. He also requested that his wife be removed as a defendant in the lawsuit.
