West Wing alum Bradley Whitford may be returning to TV!

The Emmy winner, best-known for playing Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman on The West Wing, has landed the leading role opposite Malin Akerman in ABC's comedy pilot Trophy Wife, TVLine.com reports.

The project tells the story of a party girl (Akerman) who suddenly finds herself with a new family after falling in love with a man (Whitford) who has three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives.

Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins will write and executive-produce alongside Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.

Whitford recently landed an arc on Showtime's Shameless. His other credits include the short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The Good Guys as well as The Mentalist and Parks and Recreation.
