If there was one man on Earth who could wind up as the first male model for Chanel's signature scent, Chanel No. 5, it had to be Brad Pitt right? According to E! News, that's precisely what's happening in London some time this week. The "Inglourious Basterds" star becomes the very first man to rep the flagship perfume for Chanel. Previous models include Keira Knightly, Nicole Kidman and Lauren Hutton.
Chanel has used male models many times in the past to represent and model their other product lines. Brad will definitely be the highest profile male model, though. A few months ago the world was aghast at the idea of Brad retiring in a few years, after his 50th birthday. Maybe he's considering a transition into the world of modeling, finally taking advantage of those handsome looks that have landed him on top of nearly every "Best Looking Man in Hollywood" list for the last twenty years.
So other than modeling for one of the most famous design houses in the world, what else is Mr. Pitt up to these days?
He's Getting Married...Maybe...At Some Point, Probably - Just last month, Brad and his longtime girlfriend Angelina Jolie (you may have heard of her), confirmed that they are indeed engaged. The couple have been together since 2005, and are raising six kids together. There's no date yet set for the wedding, though we suspect none will ever officially be released in order to avoid a media and paparazzi frenzy.
Taking His Family Out For Some Fun! - Last week, Pitt and Jolie were spotted taking Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox out to Legoland in London. The Jolie-Pitt brood was also whisked away to the Galapagos Islands for a little rest and relaxation in April. It's nice to see that despite how busy Brad and Angelina are, there's still time to have some fun with their kids.
He's Got A Lot of Movies In The Works - Between now and the end of next year, Brad's got five films that are slated for release. The first one to be released will be "Killing Them Softly." The film is written and directed by Andrew Dominik, and it's a crime drama that stars Pitt as an independent enforcer (in other words, not a police officer) investigating a robbery at a mob-run card game. The film also will star former "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini.
