Audiences had plenty of new releases to feast on over the holiday weekend at the box office, but last weekend's top three showed impressive staying power.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 grossed an estimated $43. million — the highest second weekend ever for a Twilight movie, according to Box Office Mojo.  At No. 2, Skyfall also broke a record, specifically for the highest-grossing James Bond movie ever, thanks in part to its third weekend haul of $36 million, which brings its total to $2217 million. Lincoln, again, took third place with $25 million.

At No. 6, Wreck-It Ralph grabbed $16.8 million. The third major new release of the weekend, the long-delayed Red Dawn, opened to $14.6 million.

Rounding out the top 10: Flight (No. 8, $8.6 million), Silver Linings Playbook (No. 9, $4.6 million) and Argo  (No. 10, $3.9 million).
