Blue Bloods has recruited Megan Boone to temporarily replace Jennifer Esposito as Detective Danny Reagan's (Donnie Wahlberg) new partner.

According to Deadline, the Law & Order: LA vet has signed on for three episodes with an option to become a series regular.

Blue Bloods' Jennifer Esposito accuses CBS of "shameful behavior" over leave of absence

Esposito, who suffers from Celiac disease, is currently on a leave of absence from the show. Earlier this week, the actress said CBS is misrepresenting her leave of absence and called out the network's "shameful behavior."

In the meantime, CBS decided to bring in several actresses to partner up with Danny. First will be Megan Ketch, who will appear in four episodes before Boone.

Esposito re-tweeted the following statement from a fan: "There it is. CBS got rid of the only minority cast member so they can have an ALL WHITE CAST like CSI."

There is always a chance Esposito will return to the procedural drama, but the actress' displeasure with the network doesn't bode well for a reprise of her character, Detective Jackie Curatola.
