(Adele)

Over the past few years, red dresses have become quite popular on the red carpet at awards shows. It's not an easy color to pull off, but many celebs go for it anyway in hopes they'll be able to look phenomenal and dazzle the crowd. At the 2013 Grammys on February 10, many of music's brightest did just that and while some wowed, others should have skipped their ensemble in favor of something else. So who wore the best and worst red dresses to the 2013 Grammys?

Natasha Bedingfield

With the new dress code at the Grammys, celebs were no doubt trying to figure out how to show enough skin without looking stuffy, and the "Pocketful of Sunshine" singer got it right. She wore a red lace Emerson gown that had cutout detailing at the sides and a gold belt, the latter of which she matched with her gold clutch. Red satin heels, a punch of red lipstick and a soft wavy hairstyle completed the look.

Adele

The new mom typically sticks to wearing black on the red carpet, but this year, she went the complete opposite direction by wearing a long-sleeve red and black floral Valentino Couture tea-length dress. It's great to see her in a bright color and red looks lovely on her, but unfortunately, the pattern did not. Between the print, the hem, collar and shoes, it's all just too much. At least she walked away with an award for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Rihanna

Rumors were flying that RiRi was planning on ignoring the new dress code. Although she didn't flash her derriere or cleavage, she was showing off her nipple rings through her red Alaia gown that had a criss-cross bodice and a flowing train. The red lipstick and long flowing locks were perfection, but her look could have done without the long red nails. Other than that, she looked incredible.

Skylar Grey

The 26-year-old singer stepped out in a red glittering halter gown that she paired with a black clutch. She finished off the look with an updo, red lips and dangling earrings. The whole look was a pretty big yawn. There's nothing noteworthy about it at all.

We're going with Rihanna for best red dress with Adele wearing the worst. Do you agree?
