Congratulations go out to Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy who welcomed their first child this week. The 7-pound baby boy must have been excited by the explosive drama during the "Homeland" Season 2 finale. Us Weekly reports that Cyrus was born the next day "exactly at 3pm."

Sorry Brody, but your CIA crush is already taken. However, Saul will be happy to know that the 33-year-old's first child isn't half terrorist. The proud papa quickly emailed friends and family the happy news. "Mother and baby are well, healthy, and happy," the "Hysteria" star wrote. "Together we send our love to you all."

Given all the contorted facial expressions the Golden Globe-nominated actress displayed during this season, we're sure the delivery was a sight to behold. Perhaps the good news will inspire members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to swing their votes her way as they cast their ballots for the awards over the holiday break. It could be a doubly good year for the Dancy household.

However, they aren't the only celebrity 30-somethings excited about their first baby this coming year.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

The bubbly Bell announced in November that she would be joining the first-time mothers club sometime in the late spring of 2013.

"We'll have [children] out of wedlock," the "Hit and Run" duo told Larry King . "We're not worried about that...It doesn't really bother us." The steady-but-ready couple is engaged, but are holding off on any shotgun ceremonies until gay marriage is legal at the national level.

"I don't want a wedding. It's too much stress," the "House of Lies" actress admitted. "I'll feel more comfortable having a party -- or whatever we have, if anything -- if half of our friends who are homosexuals [can celebrate]," stated the 32-year-old mother-to-be.

Even if the Michigan-born duo beats the buzzer and ties the knot, there will surely be plenty of whispers at the ceremony. "I am currently quite a bit overweight," the former "Veronica Mars" star joked in a radio interview with CBS Detroit last week. "I'm about 367 pounds. I'm not sure how far that is in months, but in pounds, that's where I'm weighing in."

Shakira and Gerard Pique

In early September, the 35-year-old pop star announced via her website that she and the FC Barcelona soccer star were expecting. "As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!" the excited belly-dancing beauty wrote after cancelling her performance at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas that weekend.

The due date is still somewhat of a mystery. This spring, the "Whenever, Wherever" singer is scheduled to join Usher as temporary replacements for Christina Aguilera and CeeLo on NBCs "The Voice." However, the Colombia babe posted a picture of her blossoming belly on her Instagram account after Thanksgiving with the caption: "I could have another 9 months like this!" Apparently she's scheduled the gestation period of an elephant.

Kate Middleton and Prince William

Probably the most anticipated baby of 2013 will be the child of the royal couple, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The two 30-year-olds announced they were expecting in early December, and unleashed a media firestorm. However, the pregnancy hasn't exactly been regal in its early stages. Middleton was admitted to a London hospital with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (an acute form of morning sickness). And following a prank phone call from several Australian DJs, her nurse committed suicide . Whatever the babe's sex, the birth of Britain's next heir to the throne will likely dominate the news for several weeks.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Even before the two 32-year-old Tatums announced they were expecting earlier this month, People's "Sexiest Man Alive" had already planned the beautiful couples entire brood. "The first number that pops into my head is three," the "Magic Mike" star told the magazine. "I'm ready; I think she's ready ... It's really easy for us guys to say, 'I want like 15 kids.' Jenna will be like, 'Well you better get another wife!'"
