‘Awkward’ Stars Spill Season 2 Secrets: New Boyfriends, New Fights & More
Plus, the stars of MTV’s giggle-fest tell HollywoodLife.com about their own real-life awkward moments. ‘You’re welcome!’
With the second season of Awkward fast approaching — MTV’s hit comedy returns June 28 at 10:30 p.m. — I got to sit down with stars Beau Mirchoff, Brett Davern and Molly Tarlov for what I intended to be a civilized discussion about the future of their characters. What ensued, however, was a far more revealing conversation, which included a few surprises about the stars themselves.
For your convenience, I’ve highlighted some of the interview’s best — and, of course, most awkward — moments below. But if you have 5 minutes to spare, I recommend you check out the whole thing. These three kids are pretty hysterical; and that interviewer … what a strapping gentleman.
0:25 — Beau talks about Matty’s gratuitous shirtless-ness in season two. (Did you think I wouldn’t address that?)
0:40 — Molly tells me Sadie will finally have a boyfriend this season, but like all things, their relationship will be awkward.
1:17 — Beau and Brett talk about engaging in fisticuffs over Jenna.
1:50 — Brett (sort of) explains why Jake wears a letterman jacket, despite not playing an organized sport.
2:00 — I accidentally (or maybe not) float the idea of a Jake/Matty make-out sesh.
3:18 — Molly admits the most embarrassing thing she’s ever done on tape. It involves TRL, Benji Madden and a dog.
3:54 — I get Molly to give me a Sadie-style “You’re welcome,” which is really all I came for.
