Ashley Judd is feeling the love in the aftermath of estranged husband Dario Franchitti's scary accident at the Grand Prix of Houston on Sunday, Oct. 6. After rushing to be by the injured race car driver's side at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, the Divergent actress took to Twitter to express her gratitude for the love and support from fans.
"Amazed by the incredible outpouring of care & prayers," she tweeted on Monday, Oct. 7. "Thanks, everyone. Keeping our heads down here & doing what's in front of us to do."
The 45-year-old star also retweeted a message from Franchitti, 40, who suffered a concussion, a broken right ankle, and two fractured vertebrae in the crash. (Some 14 other individuals -- including 13 fans and an IndyCar Series official -- were also injured when debris from the vehicle flew into the air.)
"Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. They mean a lot to me," the Indy 500 champ wrote. "I would also like to send my best to all the fans involved in the accident and hope that everyone is alright."
IndyCar representatives expressed a similar sentiment after Sunday's crash. "Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by yesterday's accident," the organization told Us Weekly in a statement. "Thank you to the people of Houston for their support of the Grand Prix and their concern for Dario Franchitti, the fans, and race personnel."
The statement continued: "IndyCar is thoroughly reviewing the incident. Reducing the risks that are associated with racing is one of our highest priorities and receives our constant and ongoing focus."
Judd and Franchitti had been married for just over a decade when they announced their separation in January. They appear to be on good terms, though, and neither party has filed for divorce.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the couple said in a statement earlier this year. "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
