Alan Jackson Selling Off His Lakefront Home -- Other Celeb Properties on the Market

Yahoo Contributor Network

Apparently it pays to be a country music singer: Alan Jackson is selling his lakefront Tennessee property for $4.95 million. The property features a main house, along with a "4-bedroom guesthouse, a 1 bedroom cabin, a 2-story houseboat, private boat dock and a helipad atop a 3-car garage!" according to Trulia.

It actually sounds like quite the deal for the price, considering all the buyer gets.

And why is the country crooner looking to sell? Jackson and his wife are downsizing since they don't spent too much time there anymore - the couple's three daughters are grown and they don't need the space.

Jackson isn't the only celebrity trying to unload property. The difference between celebrity sellers and regular people: The celebs aren't losing money on their sales!

Jennifer Lopez

Holy moly, it's good to be Jennifer Lopez. The singer and former "American Idol" judge just put one of her palatial mansions on the market - for an astounding $40 million dollars!

The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom Miami Beach home features "a 2-story rotunda illuminating cupola, vaulted ceiling, formal dining, theater, wine cellar, Tensui water purifier for entire house, lutron/creston systems. Master suite features massive walk-in closets with security doors, private terrace overlooks pool and fabulous wide bay views," according to Trulia.

If that's a vacation home, we want to know how much her man home cost.

Camille Grammer

Former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer is getting rid of her last souvenir from her marriage to actor Kelsey Grammer: Their Malibu mansion. The reality star put the $17.9 million pad, featuring nine bedrooms and 12.5 bathrooms, on the market, according to Trulia. The mansion features ocean views and features a "gourmet kitchen designed by Wolfgang Puck, a large master suite with spectacular ocean views, a living room, great room, library, and Creston engineered home theater room with large projection screen, separate bath and kitchen."

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, made headlines in December 2011 when they bought Brad Pitt's former bachelor pad in Malibu for $12 million. Now, they've sold the house to a cosmetics entrepreneur for $13 million - a nice $1 million profit for less than one year of ownership. The house features over 4,000 square feet of space and a private beach entrance.

The couple seems to like the real estate business: They recently sold another $37.5 million home to Ryan Seacrest.
