Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassir to divorce: Other memorable 'Real Housewives' splits

Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassir's bickering over the past two seasons of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" came to a head on Sunday when the couple of nine years announced they're splitting. TMZ was the first to report that the plastic surgeon planned to file for legal separation this week. Soon after the news broke, Maloof -- daughter of the billionaire Maloof family, which owns the Palms resort in Las Vegas and the Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team -- confirmed the sad news. "I'm so sorry that this is happening, but my children [Gavin and twins Christian and Colin] are my life, and sometimes we need to do what's best for them," she said in a statement. "It's an unfortunate situation, but I have to have my kids' best interest at heart."

Vicki and Don

After seasons of complaining about her "love tank" not being full for years, "Orange County" housewife Vicki Gunvalson finally ended her marriage to Don after 20 years together (16 of them as husband and wife) in October 2010 after a stress-induced health scare. Although both have moved on to new loves, Don still lives in the massive home he shared with Vicki -- albeit on opposite sides of the residence -- since the two still have a mortgage to pay, she recently revealed.

Tamra and Simon

The tensions between "O.C." stars Tamra and Simon Barney played a big part on "Real Housewives" for many seasons, but after a fight on New Year's Eve in 2009, the two decided not to spend another year as husband and wife. Simon was the first to file for divorce, and in his papers, he accused Tamra of infidelity and verbal abuse (she denied any wrongdoing). The divorce finally became legal this past season of "RHoOC," and Tamra had the "Simon" tattoo removed from her ring finger -- which was quickly replaced with an engagement ring from her beau, Eddie Judge.

NeNe and Gregg

As NeNe Leakes' star rose thanks to "Real Housewives of Atlanta," her relationship with her husband of 14 years, Gregg, seemed to fade. But when he went on a local radio station and revealed he had given her $300,000 to launch her reality-TV career in June 2010, NeNe saw red and angrily confronted him. "I stood by you when you have done me wrong as your wife, but you want to make other people think that I have done you wrong. I have never done you wrong. We've lost loyalty and trust!" Although they are officially divorced, NeNe did reveal during last season's reunion special that she and Gregg, who share a son Brent, are still intimate.

Camille and Kelsey

Anyone who watched the first season of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" got a front-row seat at the demise of Camille and Kelsey Grammer's nearly 13-year marriage. "Prior to the Tonys, my husband called me in the middle of the night and told me he was done with our marriage," the reality star revealed on the show. Still, she was by his side at the awards ceremony, and despite her smile, the pain was palpable. Camille filed for divorce in July 2010 amid the revelation that Kelsey had moved on with Kayte Walsh, a flight attendant he met while traveling from California to New York City. Kelsey and Kayte, who married in February 2011, welcomed a daughter on July 13. Camille's not doing to shabby herself: She's been dating hunky Dimitri Charalambopoulos since last year.

Jo and Slade

Before Slade Smiley was dating "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Gretchen Rossi, the house-husband first made a name for himself as the boyfriend of the show's original star, Jo de la Rosa, for the first two seasons. As she tried to launch a singing career, Slade (and his checkbook) was there every step of the way supporting her until June 2008, when the couple split. But in season 5, Slade was back, this time as the beau of Gretchen. Although the two have had their issues (he wants to get married, but she's concerned he doesn't have a job), it was revealed at the recent reunion special that they are talking about having a baby.
