The 47th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 1, 2012, with many of the biggest and brightest in country music in attendance. As usual, there were some dressed-to-kill celebs at the event , as well as several who missed the fashion mark by a long shot.
When we first saw LeAnn Rimes on the red carpet with actor hubby Eddie Cibrian, we had to wonder, did she think she was heading to the swimming pool and decide to detour at the last minute to attend the star studded gala?
The 29-year-old singer wore a dress that looked more like a swim suit cover-up, revealing lots of skin and very poor taste. That poor girl needs some serious style advice.
Laura Bell Bundy
Thirty-year-old Broadway actress and singer, Laura Bell Bundy, whose album is set to release this spring, donned a dress that made us question if she really intended to wrap a baked potato inside and decided she might as well wear it instead. The glittery silver asymmetrical gown didn't seem to fit right and the hem was underneath her shoes on the red carpet, definitely a disaster just waiting happen.
Joshua Scott Jones
Joshua Scott Jones, one half of the country music duo, Steel Magnolia, looked like he was auditioning for a remake of "Saturday Night Fever." He was sporting a too-tight blue suit with a white shirt unbuttoned two buttons too many. He didn't forget the over-size necklace either. He arrived with fiance', Megan Linsey, also the other half of the duo.
We love Martina McBride, but what just happened to her? We have to believe she was abducted by aliens and returned to earth in that dress just in time to attend the ACM Awards in Vegas. Her badly shaped hideous frock with what appears to be peach colored mushrooms growing out of it is one of the worst we've seen in awhile.
Little Big Town
Frankly, the entire country music group, Little Big Town, could use some help when it comes to fashion, but singer Karen Fairchild had the worst ensemble of the four musicians. Her ill-fitting striped dress looked like it might have been the latest K-Mart Blue Light Special.
