America joins the bridal crowd!

The first half of 2011 has proven big on style and elegance for celebrity brides. Here's a look at seven famous gals who've truly owned their wedding looks.

America Ferrera

The "Ugly Betty" star was all fairy tale princess in her dramatically tiered Amsale Aberra creation when she wed longtime squeeze Ryan Piers Williams during an outdoor ceremony in upstate New York on June 27. Her ivory-shaded strapless gown from the designer's Christos Collection featured a lace bodice, dramatic drop-waist and yards of fluffy tulle, making it the dress of many a little girl's dreams. She completed her look with elegant Fred Leighton earrnings and a long, flowy veil. The actress, who first gained attention thanks to 2002's "Real Women Have Curves," also starred in the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" films.

Kate Middleton

Kate was all grace, confidence and elegance when she married Prince William on April 29 during a lavish ceremony at Westminter Abbey in London. Her white and ivory satin gazar gown, designed by Sarah Burton from the House of Alexander McQueen, was intended to "combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises... McQueen's work". It featured a hand-made lace applique as well as carefully-joined swaths of English and Chantilly lace. A Cartier tiara --borrowed from the Queen-- topped her head of loose locks. As a newly minted Royal, Kate --now known as the Duchess of Cambridge-- recently engaged in a tour of the US and Canada, where she charmed with her smile and razor-sharp fashion sensibilities.

Charlene Wittstock

Kate wasn't the only gal to nab a Royal in 2011: Charlene Wittstock traded vows with Prince Albert II of Monaco on July 1 and debuted her beautiful dress the following day at a second religious ceremony. She looked near-divine in a specially-made off-white silk duchesse satin Georgio Armani Prive gown that featured a 16 foot long silk train and 90,000 shimmering accents, including Swarovski crystals, golden stones and mother-of-pearl teardrops. Although the former Olympic swimmer looked stunning, the couple's nuptials weren't without controversy: Wittstock went through the with ceremony amid rumors that her beau had cheated.

Tamera Mowry

Mowry, who starred alongside twin Tia in the '90s sitcom "Sister Sister", sparkled in a strapless Carolina Herrera gown when she married boyfriend and Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley at a Napa vineyard on May 15. She finished her dreamy wedding look with a glittering diamond necklace and earrings and an elegant updo. This Fall, the blushing bride is set to reunite with her sis on the small screen in a new reality show called "Tia and Tamera Take 2", which will air on the Style Network.

Shania Twain

The country-pop crossover songstress, 45, married sweetheart Frederic Thiebaud on January 1 in Puerto Rico. Her simple white strapless a-line gown with black waist accenting was an elegantly understated choice for her sunset nuptials, but it was a full veil that made the look a romantic winner. The Canadian beauty recently released the single "Today is Your Day," and recorded a Christmas duet with crooner Michael Buble.

Niecy Nash

The funny gal and former "Clean House" host tied the knot with boyfriend Jay Tucker during a May 28 outdoor ceremony at Malibu's Church Estate Vineyard. The bride, whose planning process was captured on the TLC special "Niecy Nash's Wedding Bash," put her fabulous curves on display in a strapless Ines DiSantos gown and completed her ensemble with an elegant chignon. Nash was paired with pro hoofer Louis van Amstel on the hit reality show "Dancing with the Stars" in 2010.

Miranda Lambert

The "House That Built Me" singer, who married fellow country crooner Blake Shelton on May 14 at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, did something that few other celebrity brides have done in recent times: She wore her mother's wedding dress. Lambert was pleased to don the gown, a simple off-white creation featuring a high neckline, because she considers it a "good-luck charm" given the longevity --33 years-- of her parents' marriage. She added her own touch of spice to the look, however, with a pair of custom-made Casadei cowboy boots.
