Lots of celebrations go on in Beverly Hills, California, and one of the most exciting was the 69th Golden Globe Awards broadcast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 15, 2012 on NBC. With music composed by Yoshiki Hayashi, the Golden Globe Awards honor actors, actresses, directors, producers, writers and more for their accomplishments in movies and television. You'll find lots of A-listers at the Golden Globes, many of whom have won the award more than once, but one of the things that's always exciting about award shows are the first-time winners.

Jean Dujardin - Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical

"The Artist"

Jean Dujardin is the 39-year-old handsome French actor who plays George Valentin in the French romance film "The Artist." Shown in black and white and mostly silent, the film takes place in Hollywood during the late 20s and early 30s.

Michelle Williams - Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy

"My Week with Marilyn"

Michelle Williams went from TV, such as her performances in "Dawson's Creek," to a full-fledged movie actress. The 31-year-old Williams, who has a daughter with deceased actor Heath Ledger, has collected an enormous amount of nominations and awards for her brilliant performance as Marilyn in "My Week with Marilyn."

Idris Elba - Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Made-for-TV Movie

"Luther"

Remember him as Beyoncé's hubby in "Obsessed"? Idris Elba is the 39-year-old British actor who won his first Golden Globe for his performance as detective John Luther in the British TV series "Luther."

Matt LeBlanc - Best Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy

"Episodes"

Everyone knows Matt LeBlanc for his performance as Joey in the enormously popular sitcom "Friends." The 44-year-old actor has been nominated for a Golden Globe before, but this time he won it for his role as the fictional version of himself on "Episodes."

Octavia Spencer - Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture

"The Help"

One of the most exciting first-time winners is Octavia Spencer. The 41-year-old actress won for her marvelous performance as Minny Jackson in "The Help" for which she has collected a large number of nominations and awards.

Peter Dinklage - Best Supporting Actor in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie

"Game of Thrones"

The 42-year-old, 4'5" actor is a winner this year at the Golden Globes. Peter Dinklage won for his role as Tyrion Lannister in the fantasy TV series "Game of Thrones."
