Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake is on an acting roll these days, with his critically-acclaimed stint in "The Social Network" and his upcoming roles in comedies "Bad Teacher" and "Friends With Benefits."

It might seem like we know, well, pretty much everything about Timberlake -- he's been on our radar for nearly 15 years now. However, we're learning more and more about him all the time.

He's Hosted 'Saturday Night Live' Four Times Now

Timberlake has set his sights on comedy -- and he thanks his hosting duties on "Saturday Night Live" for infecting him with the laugh bug.

"The season finale was just my fourth time [hosting], although it does seem like more because when I'm in New York City, they can't keep me out of 30 Rock, " a joking Timberlake told SheKnows. "I grew up with "SNL." It is an institution."

He gives the credit to a little digital short he filmed with "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg: "D--- in a Box."

"To be honest, I'm here because of 'SNL.' Getting the shot to be in 'Bad Teacher' with these genius comedians and comediennes, it goes directly back to 'SNL' and Lorne Michaels for letting me be there and letting me rock out with...Can we just say, that is a thoughtful Christmas gift?"

He's Honest About His Love of Pot

Timberlake ruffled more than a few feathers earlier this month when he admitted during a Playboy interview that he likes to smoke marijuana on a regular basis.

"Absolutely," Timberlake said when asked if he still smokes. "The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking. Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high."

Timberlake said he did stop smoking for awhile after Ashton Kutcher freaked him out on "Punk'd."

"I actually stopped smoking pot for nine to 10 months after that. I was so stoned. If you ask my friends, if they're honest they would probably say that's the only way to get me as dizzy as I was," Timberlake said.

He Has Nothing But Nice Things to Say About His Exes

Timberlake has had long-term relationships some of the most gorgeous women in entertainment, including Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel. Does he talk trash about them after they break up? No way.

"We think the world of each other," Timberlake said of his ex and "Bad Teacher" co-star Diaz. "[I] thought it could be a lot of fun and so, we just jumped in and did it."

And what about Spears?

"I don't have too much to say about her situation. I can't remember the last conversation I had with her. But this thing that happens online bothers me--these anonymous commenters. People think they can say anything and it doesn't matter to people. I'd love to see the people who comment about Britney online say those things to her face, because they couldn't," Timberlake told Playboy.

He Doesn't Think He Wouldn't Have Made It on 'American Idol

Timberlake first found success with his role on "The All New Mickey Mouse Club." However, he was on television before that -- on "Star Search" as country singer Justin Randall.

"I grew up with a voice that was different. It seems the point of 'American Idol' is to find singers who fit America's mold of what a talented person should be. That bothers me. I don't know whose place it is to tell somebody he or she is good or not. Everybody is just different. It shouldn't be a contest," he said.

He Just Bought MySpace

Timberlake may have starred in "The Social Network," but these days he's all about MySpace. The actor and musician is a minority stakeholder in Specific Media, the company that paid $35 million to purchase the struggling social network. Will he be able to turn it around to compete with Facebook? We're not holding our breath.
