5 Second of Summer’s Michael Clifford Burned But 'Doing OK' After Pyrotechnic Accident

5 Seconds of Summer are recouping after a scary pyrotechnic accident Saturday night.

Guitarist Michael Clifford was burned when he stepped too close to a shooting flame on stage at London's Wembley Arena.

In the fan video below, Michael can be seen jumping back in shock after his face and hair are singed.

After his bandmate rushed backstage, Ashton Irwin told the crowd, "Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now. He is okay."

Later that night, Michael thanked them for their concerns and even managed to keep a good sense of humor about the accident. "What the f***s up," he tweeted. "Sorry I couldn't finish the encore, but at least I look like two face."

He also requested fans' understanding if he was a bit wary of taking photos for the time being, but just two hours ago, he also reassured them that he was "feeling loads better and my face is fine."

Even though Michael is doing well, his bandmates Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings admitted that last night was very scary. "No one ever wants to see your best friend in the state I saw Mike backstage," Calum tweeted.

Michael has continually taken to social media over the last 24 hours to reassure everyone about that he is doing fine. "There's been a lot of love spread around lately, thank you all so much," Michael tweeted on Sunday. "All of us boys appreciate everything you do! And also thank you so much to all my friends for wishing me the best." 

The 19-year-old musician also said he will be back on stage tonight when 5SOS returns to Wembley. The Australian pop-punk band is completing the three-night stint in London as part of their Rock Out With Your Socks Out world tour.
