Fans let out a collective "Yes!!" when Emily Maynard castoff Sean Lowe was announced last week as the next "Bachelor." The 28-year-old Texas native won lots of female hearts on "The Bachelorette" with his genuine personality and good looks.
Still, there's so much we need to learn about Lowe before the new season of "The Bachelor" airs. Here's a few things we've dug up about him.
He's an Entrepreneur and Model
Lowe is an insurance salesman during the day, but his side projects include being a business partner in The Factory Girl, an online boutique run by his sister, Jessie. He also does fitness modeling on the side, according to WetPaint - and he definitely had the body for it, judging from this spread. He certainly has that universal appeal necessary for modeling.
He's An Athlete
Lowe earned that buff bod by playing football at Kansas State University. The Dallas native played linebacker at K-State from 2002 to 2006, according to the university website.
His stats are pretty impressive, too: He had four sacks and 96 tackles, according to the KSU athletic department.
He's Religious (Duh!)
Lowe makes no excuses for his deep religious beliefs: He often quotes bible passages on Twitter.
Lowe also turned to his faith to help him get over Emily Maynard.
"I think the main thing that's helped me get through this is just my faith in Christ and knowing when all this happened, as shocked as I was and as heartbroken as I was, I knew God has a plan for me, and this isn't it," Lowe told Priscilla Shirer of Going Beyond Ministries.
He's An Animal Lover
"Bachelorette" fans are familiar with Lowe's extensive stuffed animal collection. It's safe to say he freaked out Maynard when he showed off the plush toys during the show.
"This is my room... I wish my mom would have picked up a little bit," Lowe told Maynard as he gave her a tour of his room. "That's Whiskers, that's Buddy, that's Moo Moo and that's Froggy."
Was he for real? It seems like it, though it turns out he likes live animals, too. The Dallas native has two dogs that also got a bit of airtime on "The Bachelorette" - boxer Lola and Ellie, a Labrador retriever.
Do you think Sean Lowe will make a good "Bachelor"?
