Charlie Sheen Donates $75k to 10-Year-Old Cancer Patient

Sounds like Charlie Sheen's not such a bad boy after all! The actor has just donated $75,000 to a 10-year-old cancer patient, according to TMZ. The website reports that the good deed came out of a conversation he was having with a police officer in Hermosa Beach, California. The officer told Sheen about another officer's little girl named Jasmine who's been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the muscle tissue, which will require chemotherapy and radiation. When Sheen heard the story, he reportedly said, "No parent should have to watch their kid go through that," and wrote a generous check to the Hermosa Beach Police Association, which was raising money for Jasmine the following day.

Sheen certainly can afford that kind of donation. Forbes magazine named him the highest-paid TV actor in 2011, after he brought in an estimated $40 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Much of that income was from "Two and a Half Men," the show that fired him last year after he went on a tirade about the show's creator Chuck Lorre. (Someone who makes a lot less money, Sheen's "Scary Movie 5" stunt double, Eddie Braun, donated an additional $25,000 to help with Jasmine's medical bills.)

The "Major League" star has been feeling especially generous lately. Just this week, he confirmed that he gave $100,000 to his "Scary Movie 5" co-star Lindsay Lohan to help her pay off her tax debt to the IRS. Sheen noted to "Entertainment Tonight" that he had never been thanked for his gift. "I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you,'" Sheen said with a laugh. "Anything, you know." Still, Sheen wasn't bitter about the situation. He added that Lohan's "a very good and decent young lady that is just going through a lot."

But more than a young girl with cancer? As nice as Sheen's recent donation was, it's hard not to notice it was less than he gave to Lohan. Do you think the Lohan money would have been better spent elsewhere?
