Kristen Stewart landed the perfect ad campaign — one that doesn't require her to crack a smile.
The pout-tastic actress, who was named the new face of Chanel's Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas collection campaign in December, gives her best icy stares at the camera in new behind-the-scenes footage from her first shoot for the label, which partnered her with Karl Lagerfeld.
The "Twilight" alum, 24, is seen arriving in a knit cap and what looks like casual attire, but it's actually a Chanel top and backpack. She is then transformed for the photo shoot, which had a "romantic western" vibe. Her hair is twirled into cornrows (yes, cornrows!) and her eyes are made over to give them an even more moody and dark vibe.
K-Stew's high-fashion country-inspired wardrobe runs the gamut from cowboy boot-like socks and pointed shoes to a lacy bolero and vibrant colored poncho. One minute, she's seen nibbling on a toothpick while staring down the camera, and then next she has a ladylike Chanel bag draped over her shoulder.
At one point in the shoot, Robert Pattinson's ex sweetly cracks up, flashing a rare smile, but she quickly shifts back to her signature stony stare. Other behind-the-scenes clips show Stewart, who has also been the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, talking with and hugging Lagerfeld.
"This suits me because it is very American," Stewart said of the clothes used in the February shoot, which took place in Paris. "Everything today was like breathing, it was so easy. Karl knew as soon as he saw what he wanted, it was like 'done!' It was effortless and he's awesome and so sweet."
Will the final ad campaign make her many fans yee-haw with delight? Stay tuned. It's expected to launch next month.
