Nick Lachey and Minnillo's sunset wedding shower was more of a "giant engagement celebration," an eyewitness tells The Famous.
Case in point: Around 150 guests toasted the soon-to-be-marrieds on the rooftop of the London Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday night. That's the head count for a mid-sized wedding! VIPs included Matt Leinart, as well as Drew Lachey and his wife, Lea; the roster of partygoers, however, was decidedly limited to non-famous family and friends. (Alas, no soap-operatic Jessica Simpson cameo.)
"They were holding hands throughout the party and just seemed really excited to have everyone around them," says our source of Lachey and Minnillo, adding: "They are the most normal, cool-ass people."
The pair registered at Williams-Sonoma and Geary's, and presents included Waterford crystal champagne glasses, People.com reports. The night became a dance party, thanks to a hired deejay, and guests chowed down on cuisine by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
While the date and location of the big day are under wraps, three things are for certain: this couple is in love, Lachey is more than willing to foot the bill, and nobody has to worry about Minnillo getting cold feet.
