Sinead O’Connor Goes Back To Bald: Yes, No, Bizarre?
Sinead O'Connor has surfaced again -- this time, she looks more like herself. The '90s icon went back to the baldness of her heydey, debuting a super-close crop at an Amfar gala in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Previously: O'Connor, 42, was photographed two months ago in her native Ireland looking virtually unrecognizable with a fuller figure and mullet-y shag haircut. And glasses.
(She's kept those.) The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer's new 'do (or lack thereof) is a comforting improvement. But her makeover needs more making over: her purple dress appears ill-fitting and her spray tan uneven. (We're assuming she had a spray tan since there's an ombre effect happening from the head-down.)
On a positive note: she looks really happy. Maybe it's because her man hunt panned out. In August, following the internet shock over her dramatic make-under, O'Connor posted a desperate plea on her blog soliciting male suitors to break her long dry spell. Cut to October: she's updated her site to announce the "official end of hunt for boyfriend as successful applicant has been appointed. ... Silence will now ensue as their is much love-making to be done."
