Russell Brand Is Basically The Next Mother Teresa, Says Katy Perry

In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, Katy Perry -- who married Russell Brand in an elaborate ceremony in India last month -- said the guy who is best known for his roles in "Get Him To The Greek" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is, uh, on a different spiritual plane from the rest of us.

"I always knew I wanted a great man of God," Perry said. "Someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father."

Yes, a "great man of God."

She went on to discuss her own complex, double-sided nature.

"I'm a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect," she said. "I'm a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people thinking. That's what the stories in my music do."

These two... it's like if Moses and Madonna got married, basically.
