Report: Whitney Houston Has Emphysema
Sad news: the Enquirer is reporting that Whitney Houston is struggling with emphysema. According to the tabloid, "Doctors have told the 47-year-old singer she's suffering from the early stages of the frightening lung disease -- and informed her in no uncertain terms she must immediately quit smoking or she will die." Last year, Houston had trouble performing on her world comeback tour because she ran out of breath; she ended up canceling concert dates because of respiratory illness. Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, is reportedly desperate to help her legendary mom get off cigarettes and reclaim her life. Addiction runs in the family: this spring, the pop icon allegedly ordered Bobbi into rehab after the Enquirer published photos of the teen snorting coke.
