Is Michelle Williams Dating Director Cary Fukunaga?
Looks like Michelle Williams has a new man. The pixie actress was spotted in Brooklyn with director Cary Fukunaga, reportedly smiling nonstop as they walked, shopped and grabbed a bite in her neighborhood.
Fukunaga certainly fits the profile of Williams' previous boyfriends: he's a brainy hipster with an indie sensibility, like Heath Ledger and Spike Jonze, whom she dated following Ledger's death. She's been single for some two years since splitting from Jonze in 2009.
Fukunaga's movie credits include the acclaimed 2011 update "Jane Eyre," co-starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender. (Listen to his NPR interview about "Eyre" here.) According to his bio on Wikipedia, he's 33 years old and lives in New York; his father is Japanese and his mother is Swedish.
Anyhoo, it's been a LONG time since Williams has dated someone. The actress recently shot down rumors she was more than friends with Ryan Gosling, her co-star in "Blue Valentine." For some reason, she's anti the idea of that. Since Williams seems so happy in those Fukunaga photos, we're hoping this guy is the real deal.
