Lindsay Lohan Gets Some Good News

If it's a new day, it must mean there are new developments in the Lindsay Lohan legal saga.

Lohan appears to have caught some breaks relating to both her necklace theft case and her impending jail sentence for violating her probation.

According to E! News, because Judge Stephanie Sautner decided to reduce the felony charge down to a misdemeanor, the case will be handed over to the Los Angeles City Attorney today (meaning the district attorney no longer has the jurisdiction to prosecute the case).

Additionally, TMZ says that even though Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail, she will likely spend that sentence at home in an electronic monitoring device rather than, well, at jail. Apparently this is the typical way "non-violent, misdemeanor offenses" are treated.

Meanwhile, Lohan was spotted leaving old haunt Chateau Marmont around 1 a.m. with "90210" star Shenae Grimes Monday night, which seems like probably the last place she should be hanging out these days.
