The Kardashians Suddenly Like ‘SNL’ Spoofs

If the 72 day wedding wasn't already a tip-off, the Kardashians reserve the right to change their minds at a moment's notice.

Only this time, they've changed their minds and decided their brain-dead "Saturday Night Live" doppelgangers are suddenly funny.

After "SNL" jumped on the Kim-got-married-for-publicity bandwagon with a sketch called "Kim's Fairytale Divorce," younger sister Khloe Tweeted, "Ha! I just saw the SNL skit they did and I could not stop laughing… LOL." She was apparently so smitten that she Tweeted it twice: "u have 2learn2 laugh at urself life is 2short ... Its SNL... They r supposed 2make fun Its not who we are&I know that."

That sounds like a rational adult response to an "SNL" parody. It also sounds like the complete opposite of what the Kardashian clan had to say about their previous "SNL" send-ups. "I thought theycould have done better," Kim said in January 2011 regarding the comparatively softer Kardashian spoofs on "Weekend Update."

"They didn't capture us," Kourtney dismissively agreed at the time. "I feel like they haven't seen our show. I think they played what they think they should have played of us."

Attentive Kardashian devotees will note that Khloe, who loved the new skit, hadn't previously dissed "SNL," so perhaps she's only speaking for herself and Kim and Kourtney still hate their "SNL" counterparts. But given the family's solidarity as a money-making collective, it's fair to say that when one Kardashian sister disses or gives props to "SNL," all sisters are in agreement.

So why the change of heart? Have the Kardashias learned to laugh at themselves? Has someone installed the logarithm for self-effacing humor into their CPUs?

If anything, this new sketch is much harsher than past spoofs. Before they were portrayed as harmless bimbos, but this new sketch echoes the rumors that Kim married for money, a report Kim was "so sad to have to" refute. And Kourtney's earlier claim that the show "played what they think they should have played of us" is equally true this time around, with last weekend's sketch making yet another tired "Kardashians only date black men" joke as well as a crack about bleaching... well, let's not talk about it here.

Maybe the Kardashians really have changed their minds about these laugh-by-numbers "SNL" spoofs, or maybe they've just realized you gotta learn to (pretend to) laugh at yourself.
