Instant Engagement: Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald

What the what? After dating for a nanosecond, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are engaged. Just like that. The "Twilight" actress flashed a diamond ring on the red carpet at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, repeating: "He's the one. He's the one."

McDonald is a Bradley Cooper lookalike and singer with blindingly white teeth who appeared on the past season of "American Idol." Reed brought him as her plus one to the ceremony, where "Twilight" dominated as "Best Movie" and "Best Kiss," memorably.

Apparently, the whirlwind romance began just a few months ago when Reed began Skyping McDonald from the set of "Breaking Dawn."
