Author Salman Rushdie Writes Kim Kardashian Divorce Limerick

Barring some input from Stephen Hawking, it seems at this point that literally everyone has weighed in on Kim Kardashian's divorce.

One of our era's foremost literary giants, Salman Rushdie, was inspired by a Twitter follower to address Kim's kwickie marriage in limerick form. The "Satanic Verses" author -- and British knight -- composed a poem mourning the D.O.A. marriage, using today's primary literary medium (Twitter) to share his (less than Satanic) verses about Kim and Kris:

The full poem/masterpiece:

The marriage of poor kim #kardashian was krushed like a kar in a krashian
Her kris kried, not fair! why kan't I keep my share?
But kardashian fell klean outa fashion

To answer the question in line two, the prenup he signed prevents Kris from dipping into that Kar-kash-ian. But how about that final verse? Sounds like Rushdie is predicting this divorce -- and the ensuing media frenzy -- will be the tipping point with our Kardashian fascination.

So far, that's not the kase: The Internet is already going to town with the hilarious hashtag #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage (for instance, an iPhone battery).
