Reason #653 Kristin Chenoweth Is Awesome: Her ‘Wicked’ Weiner Roast on ‘Leno’

Kristin Chenoweth can pretty much do no wrong in our eyes. So imagine our joy when she appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Tuesday night to sing a parody of a song she made famous — "Popular" from the Broadway musical "Wicked."

Except this time the lyrics were changed to roast New York City mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner. The result, taking "Carlos Danger" to task, was comic gold.

Chenoweth originated the role of Glinda in the Broadway version of "Wicked" in 2003. There's been no word yet on when or if the musical will come to the big screen, but Universal holds the rights. However, with two hugely successful concurrent North American tours continuing to rake in the dough, "Wicked: The Movie" may still be several years away.

If you're in the L.A. area, Chenoweth is set to perform at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for two nights on Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24.
