Jennifer Lawrence Flubs Bill Clinton’s Name, References Oscar Fall

Hollywood's reigning queen of incredibly appealing awkwardness -- Jennifer Lawrence -- stole attention and hearts on Saturday at the GLAAD Media Awards.

Tapped to present the flagship Advocate for Change award to President Bill Clinton, Lawrence made uncomfortable attempts to kiss up to her boss, referenced her fall en route to the Oscar podium, and flubbed Clinton's name.

In essence, she totally won the show.

"Ladies and gentleman, President Gil ... " Lawrence blurted out, realizing that she didn't quite nail the pronunciation of "Bill."

"Of all the things to mess up," she said, shaking her head, "his name!"

Lawrence, who showed off a shorter haircut and a little black dress, took the stage with the mogul behind her winning "Silver Linings Playbook": Harvey Weinstein.

"I just want to say congratulations to Harvey and his wife Georgina [Chapman] on the birth of their new baby boy," Lawrence said (watch below).

"If he's anything like his dad, he's going to be relentless, passionate, and just about the best mentor any aspiring actor could have," she continued.

"You can stop kissing up for forgetting to thank me at the Oscars," Weinstein joked. He's not wrong: Lawrence neglected to thank Weinstein and director David O. Russell when she took the coveted prize.

"I fell on my face!" Lawrence defended herself, referencing her little stumble up the Dolby Theater stage to claim her Academy Award.

The GLAAD crowd went nuts for Lawrence's self-deprecating shtick and, adorably, she was further horrified. "That's nothing to cheer for," she insisted.

In all fairness, Weinstein can be an intimidating character. Earlier in her remarks, the "Hunger Games" lead accidentally called Weinstein by her own name -- Jennifer.

"That's a pet name," she said.

J. Law inspired President Clinton to attempt some humor of his own in his acceptance speech.

"Jennifer looked like she was in the museum of natural history backstage. 'This is what dinosaurs look like,'" he cracked.

Clinton's trophy, the aforementioned Advocate For Change award, was awarded for his efforts in promoting equal rights and acting as an ally to GLAAD's mission.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor individuals, companies and creative content that promotes the visibility of the LGBT community. Ceremonies are held annually in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Saturday saw presenters in Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio, Charlize Theron, Chris Evans, and a musical performance from Kelly Rowland.
