Rihanna: I’m not dating Chris Brown

Are they or aren't they? That's been the burning question when it comes to the relationship status of Rihanna and Chris Brown. Well, according to the Barbadian beauty they … aren't.

During a Facebook Live interview conducted by Bravo's Andy Cohen on Wednesday, the 24-year-old songstress was asked point blank whether she is dating Chris Brown. "No. Not together," she replied.

However, she was quick to offer kind words about Brown, who does a duet with her — called "Nobody's Business" — on her new album, Unapologetic. "He's dope, too," she said. "He's kinda alright."

The twosome has had a long and tangled history. After Brown physically abused Rihanna in 2009, they went their separate ways. Then earlier this year they collaborated on one

of his songs ("Turn Up the Music"), they started hanging out again publicly, and he ended his relationship with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran to focus on his "friendship" with Rihanna. But just to keep everyone guessing, Brown hasn't completely severed ties with Tran. In fact, on Wednesday night — while Rihanna was in New York performing on the Victoria's Secret TV special — Brown and Tran were clubbing together in Los Angeles. Whether they are back together or not is anyone's guess.

Equally confusing is Rihanna's own stance on her private life. In the Facebook chat, she said that she shares all of herself with her fans when it comes to her music, so she feels she doesn't have to do that when it comes to her personal life. That part of her life is just for her and, as her song goes, "Nobody's Business." However, the line seems to be blurry — especially for the singer herself. In the new video for her song "Diamonds," which was released earlier this week, Rihanna definitely alludes to her ex as she gets touchy-feely with a tattoo-covered guy — an obvious nod to Brown.

So while RiRi might want her private life to remain private, she can't stop teasing us with it. Oh, celebs!
