Sandra Oh is leaving ‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Our five favourite Cristina moments

Everything you hear is true: Sandra Oh will be leaving "Grey's Anatomy" after ten seasons. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the star was one of the six stars who signed two-year contracts in May 2012, and will depart when her time is up.

"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," Oh said of her character, Cristina Yang. "It's such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and actually get to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to let go as well. [Cristina] wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the 'Grey's' writers to think of why she's going to go."

Obviously, for any "Grey's" fan, this is heartbreaking news, especially since Dr. Cristina Yang is not only a unique, strong character, but one of the originals. And in ten years, Yang has endured everything from hospital emergencies (let us never forget the bomb episodes of season 2) to being left at the altar by Dr. Burke (Isiah Washington). So instead of mourning the upcoming loss, we've decided to celebrate five of our favourite Dr. Yang moments.

5. Cristina means business (episode 9.06)

If you were an intern and had Dr. Yang assigned as your boss, you would be terrified but also impressed. Why? Because she means business. We dare you to watch this clip and not question whether you should've gone into medicine for a chance to come out as capable and no-nonsense as her.

4. "You're my person" (episode 2.01)

Remember the emotions? The anxiety? The questions? How tuning in every Thursday was a complete must (but not as much of a must as discussing it "to death" the next day)? Of course you do. And may no quote -- or storyline -- sum up the Cristina/Meredith friendship as well as the simple, "You're my person."

3. Dr. Burke leaves Cristina at the altar (episode 3.25)

Well, this was just the worst (but yet so heartbreaking and well done). Get out of here, Burke! You didn't deserve Cristina. And now we are all crying, and it's all your fault.

2. Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina's first kiss (episode 5.02)

There are more than a few bankable scenes in the Cristina/Owen saga, but you've got to admit there's something about that first kiss. (Like how she can detach herself so well, and make everybody wish they could be or seem as cool as she is -- even when Taylor Swift is playing.)

1. Cristina dances (all the time)

Because ultimately, if you start to get too emotional over Sandra Oh's departure, know that you can simply channel Cristina and dance it off.
