‘Dancing With the Stars’ Week 6 Recap: Wonder Who Was Sent Home?

SPOILER ALERT: This recap reveals the elimination results of Week 6 of "Dancing With the Stars."

On Tuesday night’s "Dancing With the Stars," Stevie Wonder week culminated with a night that wasn’t so wonderful for one couple. Following this week’s double shot of dances, Victor Ortiz and his pro partner Lindsay Arnold were eliminated from the show in Week 6 of the competition. Victor was joined in the bottom two by "The Bachelor" star Sean Lowe.

The Wonder-themed week featured all of the legendary singer’s biggest hits (he was on hand to sing a few himself), but the star power didn’t stop the judges from doing their thing. Bruno Tonioli told Victor that his rumba "looked like an airline safety drill," while Len Goodman told Sean to set his standards higher if all he wanted to do is beat Andy Dick’s samba score. (Ouch. Andy is in the room, Len!) Victor and Andy landed at the bottom of the judges' leaderboard on Monday night.

For Victor, especially, the consistent bottom-dweller status seemed to have taken its toll this week. The 26-year-old pro boxer even told ESPN that he was ready to go back to his day job.

"I desperately miss boxing," he said. "I just called my management to schedule me a fight already… I came into the [DWTS] competition to try to win. As of right now, I haven't given up, but I don't feel I can actually win this thing. I'm just trying to stay alive."

Victor added that while he loves the Monday-night performance shows, the grueling rehearsal schedule is another story: "I strongly dislike it," he said. "I dislike the fact that I'm in a room for six or seven hours and doing something not in my element. It's a lot more work than I expected. I just don't want to put in the work. I will when it comes to boxing. But when I mess up while dancing, it gets overwhelming."

Following his not-so-shocking elimination, Victor said he would take nothing back. "I had a blast," he told hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet. "At the end of the day it was a heck of an experience, and I hope these beautiful people will follow me to my next championship title bout."

He invited the show's Season 16 cast to join him ringside, and added, "I'm happy to get this far. I definitely need some dance moves!"

The next episode of "Dancing With the Stars" airs on Monday, 4/29 at 8 PM on ABC.
