Ryan Gosling Dead? Not So Fast

Ryan Gosling has pulled off yet another amazing feat: being in two places at one time … because he reportedly died in Austria on Tuesday, even though he's in Los Angeles today. The "Drive" actor is the latest victim of the celebrity death hoax, which has also claimed the lives of Usher, Justin Bieber, and Luke Perry. According to the Global Associated News, Gosling fell 50 feet to his death at 4:30 a.m. in a remote area of the Hahnenkamm Mountains, where the publication claims he had been filming a movie.

Those are very specific details — but hardly the truth. In fact, the 31-year-old actor's next movie, "Lawless," in which he stars opposite Rooney Mara and Christian Bale, will be filmed in Austin, Texas … far from the Austrian Alps. And on Sunday, Gosling — who also fronts the band Dead Man's Bones — was photographed arriving at LAX Airport, presumably arriving from New York City, where he's been hanging out after wrapping "Only God Forgives" in Thailand — oh, and rescuing women from getting struck by out-of-control taxis, of course.

Last week, Usher fell victim to Global Associated News. In that article, the R&B singer flipped his car while speeding down a highway in Georgia. According to the site's "sources," Usher's injuries were so gruesome, his family was opting for a closed-casket funeral. But no sooner did the report hit the Internet, he posted a shirtless photo of himself on Twitter to prove he was still alive and well.

Now, if only Gosling would do the same.
