The Kardashians Come Face to Face With the Kardashians

There were Kardashians aplenty yesterday when Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe came face to face with the trio of comedians who often portray them on "Saturday Night Live."

While promoting "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" at an E! event at Gotham Hall in New York City on Monday, Kim, 31, Kourtney, 33, and Khloe, 27, were called to the stage, but the glammed up siblings weren't the three women who appeared. Instead, "SNL" funny gals Nasim Pedrad, Vanessa Bayer and Abby Elliott, in character as the reality TV stars, came out to do their now famous impersonations of the siblings, complete with jokes about Kim's famous booty — and other Kardashianisms.

A minute into the comedy bit, the real Kardashians gals broke up the party by walking onstage with Kim asking, "Who are you supposed to be?" Kanye West's lady love then scolded them for making her and her sisters out to be "fame whores," noting, "We're just three normal sisters." That was Kris Jenner's cue to join her daughters and their look-alikes on the stage. Showing off her toned physique, the 56-year old said, "Four sisters. I'm the baby," as the members of the audience cracked up.

After the shtick, the real Kardashians and the "SNL" ones posed for photos together backstage. Kim, who clearly had no problem making fun of herself, later wrote about the memorable meeting on her blog: "Last night we met our SNL impersonators… How funny!? It was great meeting the ladies in person!" Khloe also shared her thoughts about it, tweeting:"Just was onstage … with Kim, Kourt, my mom and the SNL versions of us LOL! So fun!!!"

Speaking of Khloe, as we told you yesterday, she and her husband, Lamar Odom, are taking a hiatus from their "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" spin-off series, "Khloe and Lamar," so that they can have a restful summer and Odom can focus on getting his NBA career back on track after a forgettable season with the Dallas Mavericks. Khloe addressed her decision at the E! event.

"Our show is not canceled," Khloe told ET. "Lamar and I have chosen...to take a break this summer...We just want to take a little time off for Lamar to be with family time, kids, basketball, Olympics, you never know. So, we have a lot on our plate right now." Odom added: "We just want to be happy. We'll take our time and we'll get back to it when it's time."

Even though their show is off the airwaves, the couple will still appear in the flagship "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" series, which returns for a seventh season on May 20. She will also likely get a new spin-off or appear in her sisters' spin-off "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." This is all part of the new $40 million deal that the family signed with E! which extends through 2015.

That's right, three more years of Kardashians!
