Britney Debuts ‘Hold It Against Me’ Music Video

"Without further adieu, I present my video for Hold It Against Me, directed by the wonderful Jonas Akerlund..." tweeted Britney Spears Thursday night as her new music video debuted on MTV and Vevo.com.

The video is fast-paced with a zillion quick cuts, bouncing quickly from one futuristic sequence to another -- from Britney in a ginormous white wedding dress, to the singer battling herself kung-fu style, to a "Whip My Hair"-esque scene.

The song is bound to be a huge hit, and Spears does look great -- she's trim and toned, and her hair and makeup are reminiscent of vintage Britney before her blond extensions got matted and ratty.

Sadly, the pop princess' wooden moves make me yearn for her "Slave4U" days when she would have totally owned the dance sequences. Here, you barely get to see one or two moves from Brit before the video cuts to another scene, and, honestly, she looks quite stiff and uncomfortable in comparison to her back-up dancers.

Whatever the case, it's great to see Spears getting back into the game. With Christina Aguilera forgetting the words to songs and slipping up on stage, and Justin Timberlake focusing on his acting career, it's Britney's time to shine again!

"Hold It Against Me" is the first single from Britney's upcoming album, Femme Fatale, which hits stores March 29.
