The Attack of Rooney Mara (at a Wedding)

The much buzzed-about book-based thriller "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" may not be out in theaters yet (it hits December 20), but for the film's lead actress Rooney Mara the flick is already a personal success, landing her a coveted Golden Globe best actress nomination Thursday morning, along with heavyweights like Meryl Streep and Glenn Close. Based on Mara's interview on the "Late Show With David Letterman" Wednesday night, it sounds like she deserves it. The 26-year-old admitted that she became so immersed in playing the dark, sinister character of Lisbeth Salander that it was difficult to come out of it -- even after shooting had wrapped and she'd left the set.

"I guess I was still in character," she told Dave. "I immediately grabbed his throat and was like, 'Put me down. I will hurt you.'" If Rooney doesn't get invited to the baby shower, she'll know why ...
