Nicki Minaj threatens Mariah Carey at ‘American Idol’ audition: ‘I’m gonna knock you out’: report

Before Nicki Minaj even signed on to become a new judge on "American Idol," she and Mariah Carey were reportedly at each other's throats. So it's no surprise that now that the two superstars are sitting at the same table together — with fellow judge Keith Urban between them, thankfully — they can really go at it.

During an audition today in Charlotte, North Carolina, the two reportedly disagreed on a contestant's performance, causing Minaj to erupt and completely lose it on Carey. According to TMZ sources, the rapper threatened the mother of twins with, "I'm gonna knock you out!"

WARNING: The following video contains explicit language:

In a video posted on the gossip site, pink-wigged Minaj, 27, is seen yelling, "I told them, I'm not f--kin' putting up with her f--kin' highness over there," as Carey, 42, groans repeatedly, "Why? Why? Why?" (at least, that's what it sounds like). Urban attempts to calm down the "Pound the Alarm" singer, but to no avail. Carey also says something else that is inaudible (but it may be about not seeing her children), which prompts Minaj to respond, "Go see them now! Go see them now!"

According to MouthToEars.com, "Idol" producers wisely shut down production for the day to let the two divas cool off.

As omg! has reported, Carey was irate when she first learned that Minaj was going to join her on the 12th season of the singing competition, and she reportedly hung up the phone when producers broke the news to her.

But things weren't always so bad between the two. In 2010, they collaborated on Carey's song "Up Out of My Face," and Minaj had nothing but praise for her now-enemy. "She's an icon, I've loved her since I was little, like 'Vision of Love,' 'Someday,'" Minaj told MTV News at the time. "I was one of those little girls in the mirror singing her songs with my mother … When I met her, she was so funny and silly. I thought when I was gonna work with Mariah, [she] was gonna be like this diva. But we were cracking jokes the whole day. She's a sweet, down-to-earth person."

Doesn't seem like she thinks that anymore.
