Frances Bean Cobain Reacts to Courtney Love’s ‘Gross’ Accusations Against Dave Grohl

Smells like teen angst! Frances Bean Cobain, the 19-year-old daughter of the legendary Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is slamming her estranged mother Courtney Love after the Hole singer publicly accused Dave Grohl of being intimate with her only child, who he has known since she was born, in a series of bizarre tweets. "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn," Cobain said in a statement. "I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way."

The teen, who has become a talented painter much like her late father and had her works sell out at the commercial La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, is engaged to her beau of about two years, The Rambles singer Isaiah Silva — a dead ringer for Kurt Cobain, who shot himself in 1994 at the height of his success. "I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy," added Cobain. "Twitter should ban my mother."

Grohl, who we all know went on to find mega success with the Foo Fighters post-Nirvana, also responded to Love's accusations. The two have been at odds for years, but the relationship took a complete nosedive after the release of Nirvana's 2004 box set, With the Lights Out, when the two fought over the profits from it. "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful twitter rant," Grohl said in a statement. "These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."

Love, 47, and her daughter have had little to no contact since 2009 when Cobain, who has inherited much of her father's estate, asked for a restraining order against her mother. In February, deposition papers regarding the restraining order emerged, in which Cobain accused Love of killing both her dog and cat with her negligence and drug use. "[She] has taken drugs for as long as I can remember," Cobain revealed in the court filing. "She basically exists now on ... Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes. She rarely eats ... She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives." After leaving her mother's "care," Cobain was raised by her father's mother Wendy O'Connor and sister Kimberly Cobain in Washington.

Maybe one day Love will overcome her issues and have a relationship with her daughter ... or not. Oh well, whatever, nevermind.
