Christina Aguilera’s TMI declaration: ‘I don’t like to wear underwear’

Christina Aguilera tells it like it is ... but that's not always a good thing.

Appearing on "Chelsea Lately" on Thursday night, "The Voice" coach shared a little more info that we needed to know while making chit-chat with Chelsea Handler, specifically that she is not a fan of panties.

"I don't like to wear underwear," the 31-year-old mother said. "I like to be as free as possible at all times. It's just who I am."

So how did the topic turn to undies in the first place? Well, Aguilera has long been the, um, butt of Handler's jokes when it comes to her risqué fashion selections. So the singer only agreed to appear on the E! talk show if Handler would conduct her hosting duties without pants on as a sort of punishment.

"I've heard all about the sh-t Chelsea has talked about me not being a fan of wearing pants — and proudly," Aguilera, who has been dating Matthew Rutler since 2010, teased at the beginning of the show. "So when they asked me to come on I thought, 'I'll do it, if Chelsea did one thing for me…'" When Hander walked on stage, Aguilera told her, "You look hot. I think it's a good look for you."

Aguilera certainly isn't the only celeb guilty of TMI — she just one person on a long list. Some other recent examples? Throughout her pregnancy, Jessica Simpson frequently overshared, including when she tweeted about her flatulence issues. Another unforgettable one was when Ke$ha posted a photo of herself on Twitter in which she was urinating in the street. And we still don't think we'll ever recover from hearing about what the Kardashians do with mayonnaise.

Oh, celebrities — ya gotta love 'em ... right?
