"I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger," Christina reveals in the new issue of Marie Claire. "I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son [4-year-old Max] is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me."

But the "Candyman" crooner wasn't always so at peace with her looks. Christina recalls a time when she was slimmer than she needed to be. "I have certain physical features that I favor over others. We all have our areas," she notes. "When I worked on 'Burlesque,' I lost so much weight that I was too skinny. I don't weigh myself -- it's all about how I feel in my clothes. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it's all about embracing yourself and your body."
Xtina is also in a good place when it comes to her relationship with her ex-husband. The 31-year-old says a broken home is something she wants to avoid for the sake of her little guy, Max. "I don't believe in them. [Jordan and I] take pictures together at Max's school functions to show there is no animosity," says the star, who has an estranged father who split from her mother long ago. "Children of divorce feel broken when parents want to take shots at each other. There are many different types of families; I try to center ours around Max and his happiness."
In doing so, it sounds like Christina has found her happiness, too.
